LOCAL RULES (Amended Jan 2019)

1 OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 18-2)
a) Beyond any fence, wall or hedge or on or beyond any white line or white stakes bounding the course.
b) In or beyond the trench to the left of the 18th hole and on or beyond the white line to the left of the 18th green.
c) The Clubhouse and its enclosures, car park, practice putting green, flower beds and beyond the kerbstones along the side of the Clubhouse and up to the road.

2 PENALTY AREAS (Rule 17-7)
b) Penalty areas are indicated by red stakes. Note: Where ditches are indicated by stakes, the margin of the penalty area is deemed to be where the ground breaks sharply to form the ditch.

3. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 16-1)
a)The tarmacadam road running from the main road to the Clubhouse.
b) All artificially surfaced paths and edging.
c) Temporary posts, ropes and hoops.

4. FIXED SPRINKLER HEADS (Rule 16-1)
All fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under Rule 16-1. In addition if such an obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green of the hole being played intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may obtain relief as follows: If the ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and is within two club-lengths of the intervening obstruction it may be lifted, cleaned and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay which: 
a) is not nearer the hole 
b) avoids such intervention 
c) is not in a hazard or on the putting green.

5. INTEGRAL PARTS OF THE COURSE (Rule 19)
The stone wall to the left of the 18th green, all stiles and the safety fence on the 15th hole are integral parts of the course. The ball must be played as it lies or declared unplayable.

6. GROUND UNDER REPAIR (Rule 16)
Areas of Ground Under Repair are defined by white lines.
